Having grand kids is the most wonderful and fun thing you can ever have. I of course think, no I know, I have the cutest, sweetest, smartest most awesome ones around. I was keeping Kyleigh on Thursday and was also trying to do some cleaning in my office and the back bedrooms while entertaining her. She was being really good just watching her favorite videos on television.
While cleaning on Brandon’s old room, I ran across a pom pom that was from Brandon days of playing college basketball at John Brown University. I had told her a week or so ago that I had one and would try to find it for her. I took the pom pom into the living room and she was so excited. She immediately started shaking it and dancing around.
I went into Shasta’s bedroom and started vacuuming when all of a sudden Kyleigh burst into the room with the pom pom held high in the air and started bouncing around hollering “ Go Memee go, go Memee go, go Memee go, over and over and over. It was really cute, but you have to understand, we are a family of athletes, not cheerleaders. Not that I have anything against cheerleaders, I think all the ball teams need good cheerleaders for their support. I never wanted my girls to do that in school and of course they didn’t. They were both good in basketball and softball. While watching Kyleigh dance around and cheer I was smiling but on the inside I was thinking, “What have I done, what have I created” A CHEERLEADER!
THE CULPRIT
What in the world can I teach her about that? I don’t have a clue and I don’t want to know how to teach that, of course if you read my Easter blog you will see that she is an awesome little waffle ball player, so maybe I have hope after all. She and Emma also have their own little basketball goals in their bedrooms so hopefully…….. Anyways, whatever these two cute little girls decide to do I will support them, but I will be encouraging the sports angle and I know, several other family members will be too. I am not going to apologize for that honesty either……lol

coming from a college cheerleader... this is HILARIOUS!! Oh the "damage" one little pom pom can do!! Ha!! I will volunteer to teach her anything she needs to know :)
You are the LAST person I would have thought would give Kyleigh a pompom to play with! I remember begging to be a cheerleader in middle school, lol! I can just hear her cheering for you!
