Emma Grace
Today has been a really tough day. My daughter called about 9:45 this morning and told me in a panicky voice that something was really wrong with Emma. I asked her what and she told me that Emma couldn't see and was very lethargic. I told her to get her to the hospital immediately. I went to their house and little Emma was glassy eyed and just laying on her mom. I stayed with Kyleigh as they took off to Russellville. Kyleigh was scared, she knew something was very wrong. Josh's mom already had tickets to take her to Disney on Ice, so I planned on meeting Lynn at the hospital and if everything went okay she would go ahead and take Kyleigh to Little Rock.
Wayne, Kyleigh & I went to the hospital. The nurses took her blood and the first time her blood sugar was 80 something a little while later they took it again and it was 263. They suggested we take her to the Children's Hospital to a pediatric endocrinologist. After all was said and done the doctor at Childrens said it was hypoglycemia and if it happened again like it did she would need to go into further lab testing. Leanne has had to deal with this problem with herself for several years now so she immediately gave Emma some juice in case it was her sugar. It was definitely the right thing to do at the time.
We are so thankful for all the prayers that went up for Emma today, because prayer is always the answer. God is all powerful and he hears our prayers. I don't know when I have been so scared before in my life. I love those two little girls with all my heart and would take away their pain anytime if I could. Poor Leanne, she has had to deal with some pretty tough life issues for the last couple of years and enough is enough, but she is the most wonderful Mom to those two little girls. She tries to do everything that she knows how to make their lives better. I am so proud of her with all she has to deal with she is holding on to God. He gave her these two beautiful girls and I know that Leanne will do all she can to raise these girls the right way.
Thank you Jesus for watching over our sweet little Emma & her family!
