Easter Fun

We celebrated our Easter this year on Saturday and thank goodness we did because it was an absolutely beautiful day. Easter Sunday was very very wet. We had a wonderful day with my whole family. Wayne, Shasta, Brandon & Bethany started the day with a hike to the Pin Hook Waterfall above Hector. I decided to stay and finish cooking for our lunch at Delta's. I think Wayne wore the other three out with the "fast" hike. He is like a 20 year old when he gets in the woods, no one can keep up with him (Brandon has corrected me, he can keep up)LOL, but take him to Wal Mart and I have to stop and wait for him to catch up with me. I think he drags his feet hoping I will take the hint and hurry up. After they got home we took off for Mamaw's house to eat and hide eggs for Kyleigh & Emma. They were in matching dresses with Kyleigh of course, in her tiara (our little princess). You hardly ever see her without it anymore. They were so cute out there hunting for the plastic eggs. Every time Emma found an egg she would squeal. You would have thought she had done this forever.

After the egg hunt everyone decide it was time for Wiffle Ball. This is a game our family plays every year, either that or football. There is a lot of laughing going on during this time. I usually take pictures instead of playing anymore because of my back. Between Shasta striking Jeremy out to Wayne doing his normal diving and falling down or Brandon catching those un-catchable hits or Leanne sitting in a puddle of water and having to change into Josh's wind suit pants, I'm not sure which was funnier. I do love these times that our family gets to be together. We have some of the most wonderful memories.I will never forget watching Kyleigh hit that wiffle ball all by herself and running to pick the ball back up (instead of running to first base), which reminds me of a few t-ball games...lol

We were recently described as the all American family, well I don't know about that, but I do know that we are a very close loving family that enjoys spending time together if it is hiking in the woods, playing wiffle ball, darts, wii or just sitting at the table telling old stories, we just love being a family.

Ok...I now take offense. I can keep up with the old man. I just felt bad for Bethany. I wanted to help her and was worried about her getting poison oak the whole time! hahaha! I really don't know how he can keep going at times. There must be some magic power in Little Debbies and Diet Mt. Dews! LOL!

LOL...too funny, Brandon! I never thought about that. Maybe we should all start having Little Debbies & Diet Mt. Dews for breakfast!!

(This is Bethany)
The pictures are so fun...I'm so happy the weather was so nice! But, I think you need to make one more correction...you stayed back from hiking so you could improve your wii bowling score! We caught you red handed! :) And...Brandon didn't do his job...I ended up with poison oak on my wrist!

Actually it was guitar hero....At least it was only on your wrist and not all over.
