2011 THE END OF A BIG YEAR

WOW, I can't believe that 2011 is already over. It has been a pretty eventful year for us here in the Cole house. In March my youngest daughter Shasta, married her childhood sweetheart. I am very thankful for him because he was the main reason she moved back home from Chicago. It was a beautiful wedding, a perfect day for her & Jeremy. Wayne built her the huge arch that was actually featured in an online wedding magazine.

On May 9th the next big thing that happened was we welcomed Brandon & Bethany's beautiful sweet precious Ellie into our family. She is such a joy. Ellie is the sweetest most observant little girl with beautiful big blue eyes and a smile that melts our heart. God has definitely blessed them & us with her. I just wish they lived closer so I could see her more often, guess there will be lots of trip to North West Arkansas!

Then in September, my oldest daughter married someone that she has known for several years & never expected that one day that man would be her husband. I think he pretty much swept her off her feet (thanks Jeremy for that set up). He has been the answer to her dreams & is wonderful to her,; Kyleigh & Emma. We could have never asked for someone better than him to love our daughter & granddaughter's as much as he does.

Kyleigh started her first year at school this year, my little sweetheart is in kindergarten & growing up way too fast. Thank goodness she likes school & it makes me smile when I see her getting off that big old bus with a big smile on her face everyday. Little Emma began preschool this year and I really miss getting to keep her during the week like I used to. She always has the sweetest smile on her face & I look forward to seeing her when they come to pick Kyleigh up after Leanne gets off work. I guess I can look forward to the future when she can get off that bus at Memee's also.

There has been a few things that happened that we could have done without in 2011, like a tree falling on Wayne's head and causing his first trip in an ambulance to the hospital. He has had 2 MRI's this year, 2 CT scans, almost had to have back surgery (which hasn't been ruled out yet) and then in December he had surgery on his elbow, which he is still in therapy trying to get it stronger & get his flexibility back in it. Overall though he is doing great & we are so thankful that he wasn't hurt worse when the tree fell on him.

God has definitely blessed our family so much in 2011 & I am so very thankful for those blessings. Now I am looking forward to what 2012 is going to bring us, hopefully many more of God's blessings!!!!!
