After having such an awesome 2011 we are in for another fun year for 2012. At our family Christmas Shasta & Jeremy surprised us with the "Baby Nichols" news. Leanne & I had suspected it for some time before they actually announced it, but for some reason Shasta was stumped on how we figured it out when she thought she had been so good at keeping it a secret. Surely after all these years of having me for a mom (the suspicious, paranoid, leery mother) she should have known it would be hard to hide it from me, and of course now Leanne has inherited that from her Mother,I actually think that is a good thing :-)! Don't they say the older you get the more like your parents you get???
Anyways, we are very excited for them & our family. Since we have 3 girls already it would be nice to have a precious grandson, but if it is another girl, I will be totally okay with that because there is nothing more wonderful than granddaughter's especially ones that are as cute as mine :)). Shasta is due on August 6th and we should find out what the baby is sometime in March. It is driving Leanne crazy that she has to wait until March, but stinkin on it, you just can't rush these things. Her & I are anxious to start buying things for the baby.
It is hard to imagine that my baby is having a baby, wasn't she just a little toddler a few years ago? My how time flies, just a few short years ago I was coming home from the hospital with 2 babies to an almost 3 year old little girl & now I have 3 grown married kids with 3 beautiful sweet granddaughters & a new grandbaby on the way........man I am getting old.....geez this just isn't fair! I want my kids to still be little, well at least I can love & spoil Kyleigh, Emma & Ellie then send them home :)).
Life marches on so we either sit back & dwell on our "old" age or we press on & enjoy every single minute of it, which is what I choose to do! Luv my family!!
