Well the wedding is over. All that work for 5 months & in 5 hours it is over! Tomorrow my daughter will have been a Nichols for 2 whole weeks. It really is weird to see her name changed from Cole to Nichols. I guess since she is married now, she forgot her parent's phone number because I haven't heard from her in over a week....lil stinker!!!!
The wedding day was perfect. Everything went smoothly with just one minor panic on Shasta's part. Brandon came up to me while we were at the wedding site waiting for all the people to arrive & told me he was about to die of thirst & Jeremy was going to pass out if they didn't get some water "NOW". I called Wayne who was at the cabin with Shasta & told him exactly what Brandon said. I asked him to bring us the water immediately. When he got off the phone he told Shasta what I said and that is when she started to panic that Jeremy was fixing to pass out. Oh my goodness, kids take everything so serious......lol!
Anyways, Shasta did handle everything really great, I don't think she stressed as much as most brides do & you could tell that they both were so so happy. Brandon (Shasta's twin in case you are new at reading my blog) married Shas & Jeremy. It was his first ceremony ever to perform by himself & he did an awesome job. He even teared up at one point which made it even sweeter. Kyleigh & Emma did a wonderful job placing all those rose petals just right down the walkway. Emma did get a little bored on the stage a few times and came down to me, until she figured out that I was going to make her be still...lol....then she wouldn't come close to me after that. Leanne, Shasta's big sis was her maid of honor & just like Shasta, she looked beautiful!
The reception was amazing, my friend Kathy helped me tremendously & did such a beautiful job creating a fairy tale atmosphere for the bride & groom. I think there were at least 150 people there and they danced until about 8 or so. I asked Diane Race to be in charge of the food, & with her 2 helpers, Christy Hays & Regina Hybner, everything went so smoothly & it took a huge weight off my shoulders. I have so many people to thank for the wonderful help they have given us, so below I am going to list the helpers & hope they know what they did for us is truly appreciated.
