GETTING SOMETHING NEW

I am so excited because I am getting a new living room suite. I have had new furniture ordered & paid for since November. The first time I ordered it (after looking and testing out furniture for over a year) was from National Home Center. They first told me it would be in by the end of December. After the first of the year the girl I ordered it from called and told me that the bank they were doing business with had gone bankrupt and my furniture order was canceled. They gave me an option of getting my money back or reordering and getting it by the 16th of February. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and reorder. I really didn't want to store my old furniture that I was having fixed so that I could give it to Shasta so I told her to go ahead and order it.

About the 18th of February I finally got a hold of Kim (saleslady) and she told me my furniture would be here by the middle of April...Yea, I know, crazy huh?? I got really frustrated with them because no one bothered to call me to even let me know my furniture didn't make it by the 16th of February, I had to call them. I told her that I would be by the next day to get my money, that this was totally unacceptable and I had already given them one chance and wasn't going to do business with them again. She was very nice and told me they would have a check for me in two days. Well two days passed and when she called again she told me the check would be mailed to me the next week. I was mad by that time and had already ordered my furniture from someone else and they were expecting a check from me Mon or Tues. I insisted that I wanted that check by the next day so she said she would have her boss called me. When he called he told me my money would be here the middle of the next week. I told him no way was that going to happen, they had my money since November and I was coming to get it the next day and he could just get in his car, drive to Fort Smith and get me a check (pretty mean of me wasn't it?) Well guess what, after arguing with me for about 15 minutes he told me my check would be there by 6 pm the next day. I received a call from Kim around 3 pm the following day and she informed me my check was there. I know I had been pretty ugly to them, but she insisted that I was totally justified in being mad that it was all their fault and I had been really patient with them, so I guess I don't feel too bad.

So anyways, my furniture will be here tomorrow and I am excited & will post a picture after I get it in. It is made by Southern Motion and is going to be dark chocolate reclining furniture (since Wayne can't sit in a chair without being able to recline back). I am getting a sofa, console love seat and a rocker recliner, and Shasta is getting a console sofa & a rocking double love seat. Now I am hoping one of these days I can talk Wayne into letting me get a new dining room table (probably not going to happen for a while)!!
