Creek Fun

This weekend has been full of playing in the water. On Saturday, Wayne, Leanne, Josh, Kyleigh, Emma & I went to the Bayou Bluff Park so that the girls could play in the water. It was a little tough with them being so little. We had to hold their hands most of the time. Between Kyleigh shaking her booty, falling and hitting her mouth on a rock and Emma just being Emma and loving the water, we had fun. Mainly just because we got to be with them and watch them play in the water.

On Sunday, Wayne was wanting to take me to Richland Creek, which is around the Lurton area. After "FINALLY" getting there 3 1/2 hours later we parked the car and started walking to the campground and then headed down to the creek. I had my good Chaco sandals on which should have been great for walking in the creek, but it was HORRIBLE. I slipped and skated through every inch of that walk through the creek. I would start climbing up on a big rock and my foot would slip off and slam in between two rocks. I finally had to just hold on to Wayne and depend on him to steady me so I wouldn't fall into the water. My poor feet hurt so bad and of course I got blisters in the same spot I got them in the last time we walked through the creek near the Kings River ( you would think I had learned my lesson the first time HUH?)

We finally made it to the swimming area that Wayne was taking me to and it was so worth the slippery walk just to see it. We jumped off boulders that were about 15 to 20 foot out of the water. I really enjoyed the day (after we finally got there), just laying out on the big rock and swimming in that clear water. Wayne said that it was a dream come true, I asked him what he meant and he said he dreamed of us two relaxing, jumping off the rock, swimming and just spending that time together alone (isn't he sweet). He said it reminded him of a Mt. Dew commercial. It is so nice to be able to still enjoy being together after 31 years of marriage. I love him so much and look forward to spending the rest of our lives together!
