The Crazy Painting Lady

I have been such a busy beaver lately. I finally got in the mood to paint again, for those who know me pretty well know that once I get in the mood to paint, I try to paint everything I see (within reason, of course). I painted my dining room last year a very nice green color and then I painted my kitchen, which took me forever because I was so unhappy with the color/finish on it and when that happened I got frustrated and just quit. Brandon asked me a few months later if I was just going to leave that one wall painted and forget about the others or what? Before he came back home again I mixed that stupid paint with some cream paint that I had left over from painting my office and started painting again. I like the color now, so I guess I will keep it that way for a while.

I finally got in the mood to paint again about a week ago, and decided my hall needed a good paint job so I set in. I decided on the green color that I painted my dining room. I taped the edges of my border and all my trim and painted walls and ceiling. When I pulled the painter's tape off the border, it tore my border in several places and that made me mad, so I just started ripping it down, and if you have ever pulled off old wallpaper you know how maddening it can be and it takes forever if it wasn't prepared correctly before you put it up. That took me several days because I was also babysitting and didn't have time to devote to finishing it. Finally I got it all down and painted over the border area. Wayne is going to put me some cedar trim up soon and it will be totally finished.

Now that made me think.....hmmmmmm, I think my bathroom would look good this color, but then I got to thinking, I have a STUPID border in there too. Man was I not looking forward to tearing that down. I was cleaning in their a couple of days ago and got the bright idea to just try, so I started pulling it down, and guess what? It came off in pieces the length of each wall, I was so excited and relieved. So I started painting again. I just finished painting (with Wayne's help around the bathtub area) and cleaning about an hour ago and it looks so nice.

Wonder what I can paint next? Maybe Brandon's old room it has been several years since I painted in there. I would do the other bathroom, but we are going to gut that one someday soon and remodel, so I don't think I want to waste my time in there because nothing will make it look any better. I will post a picture of my bathroom soon, so be waiting.

I am tired now and looking forward to going out to eat with the most wonderful man on earth *My Husband Wayne*. Hope everyone is enjoying this cooler weather!
