NEEDING BURN THERAPY

I have decided & the people I love agree with me that I must have some kind of burn fetish. For some reason I burn myself several times a year, sometime weekly. Just this last week I have burned myself twice on my iron. Usually it is the wood stove, the cook stove or occasionally the curling iron. Last year I burned my leg pretty bad by sitting on the four wheeler & leaning my leg back against the muffler. OUCH I mean DOUBLE OUCH.....I immediately began to doctor it, but it was just my luck that it got infected. I finally decided to go to the doctor with it because I couldn't get it to heal. As I lay on my stomach he began to scrub the burn, oh my goodness that hurt so bad, so of course I had to let him know that he was hurting me. His words to me was "no pain no gain", WOW there was absolutely no compassion in him & I think I actually heard him snicker and then of course he told me if I hadn't put my leg on the muffler then I wouldn't be there. I really wanted to slap him but thankfully thought better of it. So now I have an ugly brown scar on the back of my leg that really I want to go away......

But the craziest most stupid burn I have ever gotten happened this last week. It was just below my shoulder behind my arm....I know you are sitting there laughing and saying how in the world did you burn yourself there, well that is what Wayne & Leanne both asked (while laughing). I preceded to tell them that I was leaning down to reach behind the dryer to unplug my iron, my shoulder was level with the ironing board and the next thing I knew I felt the burn. I believe that is the fastest I have moved in a long long time. My iron had fallen over and the tip of it touched my back so now I have a funny looking pointed tip burn there that will be another stupid scar and this one hurts pretty bad too......go figure!

I guess the safest thing for me to do is let Wayne do all the ironing, cooking, put wood in the stove and curl my hair for me because I apparently can't be trusted to do these things for myself with out ending up burnt.....well honestly I don't see that happening so I guess it will be business as usual. So if you see me with some kind of bandage or a big brown scar somewhere then you can assume that I have done it again..........

Miss my PeeWee!

Unfortunately, this story is all very true. I have never seen anyone burn themselves so much or in such odd ways! LOL!

LOL. I think your plan with letting Wayne do all that sounds pretty good, but I guess he probably wouldn't think so. Burns can be painful, I have done the curling iron before.

until next time... nel
