Okay, I have decided that computers were made just to drive me crazy. I think I am targeted by the computer industry. They see me coming and say AHH HAA! I am just about convinced that I really don't need one, but what would I do in my spare time? Maybe finish my taxes, clean my house, wash my car, work in the yard, etc..... I made it just fine until facebook & my space came along. I guess I should not have signed up for these highly addictive websites, so I have no one else to blame but myself.
I bought me a laptop computer last year, for a backup (since my computers crash frequently), and also to use IF we ever travel anywhere. It was a 17" lime green nice laptop. I only had it for about 4 months when Wayne & I decided to go to Branson for the weekend. We loaded everything in the 4-Runner including the laptop. Drove to Branson checked into our cabin and begin to unload. When I opened the back door I cringed, the soft sided ice chest we brought, which Wayne laid on the middle console in the back, had fallen over onto the laptop. It had leaked all the water out onto the computer, my laptop had taken a bath. Of course, this wasn't Wayne's fault (yea right), he didn't know that the bag in the seat had a laptop in it and he certainly didn't know that the ice chest would tip over when he went around all those curves on Hwy 7 to Jasper. I was sick, thank goodness I had insurance on it. I set it in the sink and watched water pour out of the end of it, thinking all the time, how am I going to keep from tearing Wayne's head off for ruining my new laptop. I don't think I had used it more than 4 or 5 times. I tried to play it cool even through all his excuses, but believe me it was tough. If I ever get another laptop, I won't let Wayne within 100 ft. of it, esp. if he is anywhere close to an inch of water.
Moral of this story, don't let a rough, fly by the seat of your pants husband close to anything electronic.
Take time to enjoy the sunshine & smile God loves you!
